†From 1st July 2012 all vehicles travelling in France must carry a breathalyser "NF" (Norme Française) approved. The AA recommend that two are carried and this handy twin pack fulfils our recommendation. This product carries the “NF” French certification mark and is therefore designed to meet the obligation under French law that anyone driving in France carries a NF standard breathalyser from 1st July 2012. It is important that you read and comply with the manufacturer’s instructions. I felt exploited by A G Rivett from Scotland, 20/09/2012
I was disappointed when my travel kit arrived - the result of not checking carefully what the pack contained. A spare bulb kit which I expected to be included was absent, and much that was present I neither needed nor wanted. The sunblinds in particular exploded out of their packaging, sending a suction cup flying across the room. I felt my trust in the AA as a professional body was betrayed, and that they are after all just another trading company out to exploit me.

Convenient but pricey by Mitsuko from Hauxton, 07/07/2012
All the kit's there, but buying the individual parts necessary by law to drive in France separately on the AA website comes to about £10 less. So, a good deal if you want the phrasebook etc. - but you pay a premium for the convenience of purchasing everything in one click if you don't need the tourism add-ons.

Re: Driving in France Kit by Jill at the AA Shop from Head Office, 20/09/2012
Thank you for your feedback relating to the Driving in France Kit and I'm sorry to learn that you were disappointed by the contents. We endeavour to offer a diverse range of driving kits at varying price points to satisfy different customer preferences and requirements. As you say, at present, the Driving in France Kit doesn't contain the Bulb kit, but we are currently investigating the potential to include this going forwards. This is however included in other Kits on theAA.com/shop such as the European Travel Kit which is a great, comprehensive kit covering the basics for driving in many European countries. The Driving in France Kit has been compiled using extensive research showing that many of our customers wanted one dedicated kit for France which satisfied all compulsory and reccommended requirements, as well as including other useful extra's for their holiday including travel guides, phrase books and atlases. We've also included some other items such as the sunblinds and first aid kit should they come in handy. Assuring you of our best efforts at all times, Jill at the AA.
